Refund policy

Everything we sell is a mailed case - either a monthly subscription
or a prepaid purchase. This policy explains refunds and cancellations
for each.

Every tier ships two letters a month for twelve months - 24 letters
in all. The tiers differ in how you pay, not in how quickly letters
arrive.

Case File - monthly

Case File is billed $11.95 a month. Your payment details are stored
securely and you are charged on the same date each month.

Your subscription runs for 12 payments and then ends. It does not
auto-renew and there is no second year. After the 12th payment you
will not be charged again.

You can cancel at any time. Your order confirmation email contains a
link to manage your subscription - cancel from there.

Cancelling stops future billing. You keep every letter already mailed
to you, and you will receive both letters for any month you have been
charged for.

If you cancel before that month's first letter has been mailed, we
refund that month in full and mail nothing further.

Detective's Dossier and Master Detective - prepaid

These are one-time payments, not subscriptions. Nothing renews and
there is nothing to cancel.

If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your first mailing,
contact us for a full refund. You are welcome to keep any letters
already delivered.

After 30 days, prepaid purchases are non-refundable.

Master Detective includes a case-file tin, which is mailed with your
first letter. The tin accounts for $30 of the price and is not
refunded once it has been sent. Refunds on Master Detective cover the
letters.

Gifts

If you bought a subscription as a gift, the same 30-day window
applies, counted from the first mailing to the recipient.
